Once again troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) cleared the earth mounds and rocks that had fallen near Diyatalawa railway station on Friday (01 Dec) due to continuous rainfalls.
The upcountry railway operation line running from Colombo to Badulla was disrupted as a result and troops during morning hours cleared the blockade and facilitated the resumption of railway services.
Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces - Central went to the location and gave necessary instructions to the troops.
