SFHQ - Central Bids Farewell to Outgoing Commander

The Security Force Headquarters – Central (SFHQ - Cen) arranged a formal ceremony and bid farewell to Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc the Outgoing Commander, SFHQ - Cen, on 16 December 2024 at the SFHQ - Central camp premises.

In accordance with military traditions, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour by the troops of the 23rd Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment before he marked the end of his tenure by signing the official handing over document at the office premises.

Adding memories to the day, the outgoing Commander was invited to pen remarks in the visitors' book and posed for a group photograph. In his address to all ranks, the Commander expressed his appreciation for the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all ranks during his tenure.

The formalities of the day concluded with an All-Ranks tea, providing an opportunity for the outgoing Commander to interact with all ranks. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civil Employees participated in the event.
