On the instruction of Major General A.M Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters, Central (SFHQ-C) and the guidance of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 11 Division, 50 Army personnel of the 111 Brigade conducted a ‘Shramadana’ campaign to clear the surrounding of the Ayurvedic Hospital, Doluwa, together with member of the hospital staff on Friday (10).
The ‘Shramadana’ campaign was organized for the benefit of the general public in the area. The progaramme will effectively improve the relationship between the Army personnel and the general public.
Meanwhile, two more ‘Shramadana’ campaigns were organized by 10 Gemunu Watch (GW) and 18 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) under the 122 Brigade to clear the surroundings of the Debarawewa Government Hospital premises and the Kataragama Government Hospital premises on Friday and Monday (Oct 10 and 13).
During the occasion, hospital staff gave their fullest cooperation to the troops.
