Troops at the Security Forces Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C), organized an awareness programme on ‘Drug Prevention' on the directions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva and the Directorate of Psychological Operations.
Troops at the SFHQ-C in a bid to enlighten the troops on the “Prevention from Dangerous Drugs” launched the 2-day long awareness programme during April 27-28 at 12 division headquarters, Hambanthota and also at Torch Cinema, Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa.
In the meantime, one more phase of awareness programme was launched during April 19-20 at the 11 Division Headquarters, Kandy on the direction of Major General D. S. N. K Senadeera, General Officer Commanding, 11 Div.
During the programme, several lecture sessions and activities were conducted by Directorate of Psychological Operations while educating soldiers on the prevention from use of alcohol and drugs.
Colonel (Dr) R. A. A. H Moneragala and some officers conducted the lectures.
