Troop of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) Training School - Kuttigala serving under the Security Force Headquarters – West (SFHQ – West) organized an Eye Clinic under the guidance of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ – West for under privileged people in the area at ‘Buddhashramaya’ Sunday School, Padalangala in Embilipitiya on Thursday (14).
Dr. Nimal Wijekoon, an Eye Specialist conducted the clinic together with Mahanuwara Optical (Pvt) Ltd.
Nearly 411 patients received spectacles and medical treatment free of charge during the clinic.
Ven. K Pagnasoma, Chief Incumbent of Buddhashramaya, Major General K.C. Goonawardane, Commander, 58 Division together with Brigadier Randula Hathangoda, Commander, 583 Brigade and the Commandant SLAGSC Training School, government officials were associated with the event.
