Under the guidance of Senior Lecturer Yodhakandiye Ariyawansa Thero of the Sri Lanka Buddhist and Pali University, a pindapatha pilgrimage was organised to fulfil the needs of patients at Maharagama Apeksha Hospital on 20 June 2024.
In response to a request made by Yodhakandiye Ariyawansa Thero to the Commander, Security Forces - West, 50 troops participated in the administrative process of this pilgrimage. The Pindapatha Pilgrimage, a symbol of our collective effort, started at Army Bodhirajarama Temple and concluded in Homagama. As a result, the monks were able to provide essential items worth five million for the patients at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, making a significant impact on their wellbeing.
