The Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) presented a Guard Turnout to the outgoing Major General Vikum Liyanage, Commander, Security Forces-West (SF-West) upon his relinquishment of his appointment as the Commander, Security Forces - West during a formal farewell, held at the SFHQ-West premises at Panagoda on Wednesday (7).
Troops of the 12 Gajaba Regiment (GR) presented the Guard Turn out where a representative gathering of Officers in the SFHQ-West, General Officers Commanding of the 14, 61 Divisions and Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks of the SF HQ-West were present to extend best wishes to him.
Later on, addressing the troops of the SFHQ-West, the outgoing Major General Vikum Liyanage thanked All Ranks for the generous assistance and support, extended to him during his tenure as the Commander, SF-West. The event also included an All Rank tea adhering to health practices.
