SF Regimental HQ Extends Felicitations to Newly Promoted Senior Officers

The Regimental Headquarters of the Special Forces (SF) at Naula, Matale recently extended felicitations to two of their outstanding Senior Officers, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe and Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa when both of them arrived at the Regimental Headquarters after recent promotions as Majors General.

Upon their arrival, both of them were separately greeted to Guard Turnout salutes at the entrance to the HQ before both of them received the salute in separate Guard of Honour parades, hosted by SF troops. Similarly, both of them paid their tribute to the memory of fallen SF War Heroes at the SF monument inside the camp premises. They also left memories by planting saplings in the premises as one more itinerary in the agenda.

Afterwards, both Senior Officers addressed the troops and inspired them to strive hard to reach new heights in their career progression with commitment and dedication while safeguarding the prestigious reputation of the elite SF troops. SF Centre Commandant welcomed both of them on arrival. At dusk, both of them together with their spouses were hosted to dinner in accordance with military traditions.
