Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and Colonel of the Regiment of Special Forces (SF), honoured the Special Forces practical firing champions at the Regimental Centre Special Forces on 11 March 2025.
The Sri Lanka Army Special Forces secured a historic victory in 2025, winning both the Open and Novice categories at the Inter Regiment Practical Firing Championship. Additionally, one Officer and five Other Ranks represented the Army at the Level III IPSC National – 2025 competition held at Navy Camp Poonawe, earning multiple medals. Corporal R.P.C Gayan was named the Best Shooter in the Manual Bolt Action category.
During the appreciation ceremony, the Commander extended his congratulations and best wishes to the shooters for their outstanding achievements. The event concluded with an entertainment session and an awarding ceremony.
