The Security Forces - Jaffna (SF -J) organized a symposium in collaboration with Professor David Brewster, Colonel Amanda Johnston, the Defence Attaché to the Australian High Commission, and Captain Simon Batterman of the Australian Navy on 11 March 2024 at the Security Force Headquarters premises. The symposium was held under the theme of ‘Contemporary Local and International Security Issues.’
Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, SF -J graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The event provided an invaluable opportunity for all Officers to enhance their knowledge in contemporary security issues and participants enthusiastically took part in the discussions.
At the end of the session, the Commander, SF -J awarded special mementos to distinguished lecturers as tokens of appreciation. Afterwards, they had a courtesy visit to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna.
The General Officers Commanding of 51 and 52 Infantry Divisions, respective Brigade Commanders and Senior Officers also participated in the symposium.
