two-day workshop focused on Military in Internal Security Operations (MISO) was conducted by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation at Security Forces Headquarters -East on 26 and 27 June 2024 with the coordination of Directorate of Legal Services Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
The workshop conducted under the guidance of Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Commander of Security Forces – East (SF - East) and aimed to enhance knowledge among Officers on this critical subject.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Lloyd Gillett (Representative from ICRS) and Mr. L.C Channa Jayawardhana (Armed and Security Programme Advisor). 30 Senior Officers and Officers of SF - East participated in the workshop.
