Expanding its ongoing house-construction project Major General P.A.M. Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division formally warmed one more house for a deserving family residing at Mollipothana North Grama Niladhari Division during a simple ceremony held on 11 April 2024.
The housing project was initiated under the conceptual layout of Major General M.K.U.P Gunarathne RSP psc ndu IG, Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters – East. Troops of the 15th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment provided their manpower, engineering, and technical skills for the construction of the new house under the supervision of Commander, 223 Infantry Brigade.
Famous singer Mr. Bathiya Jayakodi extended his financial generosity for the success of the project implemented for beneficiary Mr. H.A.A.C Dinesh Kumara and his family with the co-coordination of the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division.
Brigadier Y.H.P Rangajeewa USP, the Brigade Commander of 223 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel N.C Marasinghe, the Commanding Officer of 15th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Senior Officers, Government Officials, Mr. Bathiya Jayakodi and a cross-section of villagers participated in the event.
