Coordinating representatives of veterans’ Ranaviru Organizations in Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa, Ampara and Trincomalee Districts on Sunday (7) were invited to the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) at Welikanda in order to get feedbacks on their grievances, needs and other issues, if any to be in line with guidelines, given by the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva.
Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Commander, Security Forces - East chaired the meeting and highlighted that the Army is seriously committed to the welfare of retired and injured Army personnel as well as family members of fallen War Heroes and wanted those veterans to maintain their reputed recognition and contribute to the national economy and the Army for betterment of their future prospects.
The Commander, SF-East during the same meeting appointed General Officers Commanding of 22, 23, 24 Divisions and Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - East to closely coordinate and supervise the well-being and the progress of respective Ranaviru Organizations and explore possibilities of further resolving their needs in whatever the way possible.
A few weeks ago, General Shavendra Silva, invited a representative gathering of district organizers to the Army HQ and listened to their grievances and issues with a view to providing them with further welfare relief at different district levels in close coordination with respective SFHQs, Divisions, Brigades and all formations. best Running shoes | Marki
