In order to muster support and coordinate the conduct of civil affairs taking place in the area and receive a comprehensive update, Major General Sisira Pilapitiya, the newly-appointed Commander Security Forces - Mullaittivu, had a cordial conference with all stakeholders, related to civil affairs at the SFHQ-MLT premises on Friday (2).
Issues related to illegal tree felling, sand mining, production of moonshine, protection of archaeological places, COVID-19 control, community assistance, agricultural aspects, etc were taken up for discussion during this meeting.
District Secretary for Mullaittivu District, Divisional Secretaries for Maritimpattu, Oddusudan, Puththukuddirippu, State Officials, General Officers Commanding of 59, 64 & 68 Divisions, Naval and Air Force Officers, Police and STF officers, Divisional Forest Officer for Mullaittivu, Engineers in the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau-Northern Province, archaeological officer for Mullaittivu, Assistant Director for Wildlife Department took part in the discussions.
