Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army in recognition and appreciation of a special set of Instructors awarded appreciative certificates (‘Yudahamudapathi Pranama Sahathika') to 16 personnel after inviting them to the Army Headquarters on Wednesday (March 08).
A group of 15 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of Army, Navy and a Non Commissioned Officer of the Air Force who have done a splendid job as Drill Instructors (DIs), who trained the Presidential and Corps Colours Awarding Ceremony of the National Cadet Corps that got underway a few days ago were the recipients of those appreciative certificates. In addition, 01 Army driver of the 22 Infantry Division who has maintained an unblemished service record since his first day in the Army was also lauded awarding a certificate at the same occasion.
The Commander of the Army after presentation of those commendations extended best wishes and congratulations to all of them and wanted them to sustain their committed service in future too.
Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General, Brigadier G.S Fonseka USP psc, Director National Cadet Corps and Brigadier K.A.U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, Director, Directorate of Personnel Administration were associated with the occasion.
