In line with the Vesak Poya Day, a four-hour motivational lecture was conducted on 10 May 2025 by Venerable Madukande Thero, with the participation of 1,000 Army personnel. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 59 Infantry Division, and under the supervision of Commanders of the 591, 592, and 593 Infantry Brigades, Staff Officers and logistics teams.
