The Security Forces - Jaffna marked its 28th Anniversary with a series of commemorative events. On 18 June, a Bodhi Pooja programme was held, followed by a tribute to the fallen War Heroes at the Palaly Monument on 19 June 2024. The Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, was honoured in a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour at the Security Force Headquarters premises.
The Commander, SF - J presented a cash incentive to Mr. Channa Priyadarawansha, a civil waiter, in recognition of his son's outstanding academic achievement.
During his address, the Commander, SF - J, highlighted on collective commitment, discipline, coordinated communication and delivering dedicated services. He emphasized fostering relationships with civilians and highlighted initiatives like the CIMIC Park for community harmony.
Concluding the day’s programme, a musical night was organized for the troops.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers participated in the event.
