As part of the ongoing housing project conducted by the Security Forces (Jaffna), a newly constructed house was vested in a deserving family in Ilavalai, Jaffna, on 18 October 2024. Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), officially handed over the house key to the beneficiary, amidst religious blessings.
Troops of the 10 Sri Lanka Artillery (10 SLA), constructed the house with generous support from philanthropists, including Mr. Lion P. Sivakumar, Mr. Gamini Rathnayake, Mr. Jeyaraj, Mr. Vajindra Kannangara, Mrs. Rithuban, Mr. Amarasingam Dushyandam, Bombardier Y.M Jayathissa , and 10 SLA personnel. The project was conducted under the direction of Major General W.B.J.K. Wimalarathne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division, guidance of Commander of the 513 Infantry Brigade, and supervision of the Commanding Officer of 10 SLA.
Senior officers, government officials, family members, and villagers attended the ceremony.
