General Kamal Gunaratne (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, conducted an inspection visit to the "Sandahiru Saya" on 31 August 2024.
The visit aimed to assess the progress of the ongoing construction process. During his visit, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence reviewed the construction work, provided necessary instructions, and addressed any issues that arose. The Project Officer of the Sandahiru Saya project briefed on the current progress and the ongoing efforts to ensure the timely completion of the project.
Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander of Security Forces - Wanni, Major General D.P Welagedara RSP USP psc IG, Military Liaison Officer of Ministry of Defence, Senior Officers, Officers, Staff Officers from the Sandahiru Saya project, were also present during the visit.
