Second Phase of Volunteer Battalion Presentation Conducted at SLAVF

The second phase of the project for presentations on different timely subjects conceptualized by the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) was held at the multifunctional hall at the SLAVF on 15 November 2023.

The presence of Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commandant of SLAVF and Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF added further importance to the educative session.

19 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the SLAVF) conducted their unit presentation on the theme ‘Development of Solar Energy as a Solution for Energy Crisis in Sri Lanka’.

In commencing the day’s agenda, Colonel T.A.B.R Fernando, Colonel Training, SLAVF welcomed the guests.

Afterwards, the presentation team led by Major P.S.R Perera, the Commanding Officer (19 (Volunteer) SLNG), together with Major R.H Jayasinghe, Major H.A.K.P Palipanapsc, Captain D.G.K.S Deniyegedara and Captain M.P.P.U Muthunayake of 19 (Volunteer) SLNG, deliberated on the topic extensively.

The presentation culminated with a question and answer session. At the end of the presentation, the Commandant SLAVF commended their efforts taken to enhance presentation skills, confidence and professionalism of the Army. A total of sixty-seven Officers, presently serving at Headquarters SLAVF witnessed the presentation and Officers serving at Volunteer battalions and establishments were enlightened on the topic via Zoom technology.
