School Cadets from Pinnawala Receive Two-day Training

A 25-member platoon of School Cadets from Pinnawala Central College in Kegalle underwent a training session at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Training School in Boossa during 27-28 July with the aim of exposing them to procedures and formalities of the Army.

This was initiated by a group of old boys of the school presently serving as Army officers with the blessings of the Commander of the Army.

Leadership skills of the cadets, related to personal development, improvement of talents and decision-making abilities and awareness on discipline, etc were taken up for discussions and practical demonstrations, etc. during those training modules.

Major General Jayantha Gunarathna, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division closely supervised the entire arrangement during their stay.
