Four Officers and sixty five soldiers, belonging to 22 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ-East in response to a request, made by Dr Pramuditha Ranawaka, Consultant Physician in the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre in Muttur donated their blood to replenish existing requirement of blood for patients under treatment in the hospital on Saturday (29).
Considering the humanitarian request, Major General Channa Weerasooriya , General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division gave the green light for the troops to go ahead with the project, held at the Regional Blood Centre in Muttur.
