Troops of 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) serving the 613 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni while on a routine patrol in the general area of Periya Madu on Wednesday (20) apprehended two suspects, along with three Satinwood logs and one chain saw, suspected to have been involved in illicit tree felling in protected forest reserves.
Troops immediately on the directions of their Commanding Officer handed over the two suspects, logs and equipment to the Adampan Police and Adampan Forest Office for further investigations.
