The International Day of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) was marked on Thursday (15) during a ceremony held at the DSCSC premises under the aegis of its Commandant Major General Udaya Perera.
The ceremony was attended by undergraduates and their spouses following courses in the DSCSC.
International Day was held to promote the bond between friendly foreign countries while enriching our culture and traditions towards a creative learning environment.
This event was graced by their Excellencies of Ambassadors’ honorary consuls and also Defence Attaché's and officials from various embassies.
International Day of DSCSC is significant since it was represented by foreign student officers who are presently following the DSCSC Course No 10. They had organized well decorated stalls to showcase their cultures and traditions.
In addition, the stall maintained by the Ladies' Club of DSCSC which depicted Sri Lankan culture and tradition including Sri Lankan food items added an extra glamour to the event.
The event terminated with Traditional dances filled entertainment session and also a dinner hosted by the Commandant DSCSC.
