THIRTY Cadets of five SAARC countries along with some senior military officers who are presently on a visit to Sri Lanka met Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at Army Headquarters, Colombo Saturday (17) morning.
The delegation, headed by Director General National Cadet Corps (NCC) Bangladesh Brigadier General S.I Hosssain included five senior officers from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan and thirty male and female Cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in respective countries.
Army Commander had cordial discussions with the officers and cadets of the visiting delegation during their meting at the conference hall.
Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya presented mementoes to members of the foreign delegation symbolizing the Army’s goodwill.
Military Secretary, Major General Milinda Pieries, a few senior officers of the Army Headquarters and some officers of the NCC Headquarters Sri Lanka were present on the occasion.
They will visit several places of tourist and military importance in the island during their stay in the island.
