SAARC Cadets Meet Commander

An 84-member team (68 Cadets / 16 Senior Officers) of school Cadets from SAARC countries, now in Sri Lanka as part of their annual familiarization programme under training, interacted with the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake when the Cadets called at the Army Headquarters on Thursday (25).

Commander met representative 5 Cadets from each country and 5 Senior Officers of the same country.

The representative school Cadets from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan during their stay in Sri Lanka visited the National Cadet Corps Headquarters at Rantembe and participated in the Herman Loos Trophy, organized by Sri Lankan Cadets, attached to Rantembe.

During their short interaction with the Commander over tea and refreshments, they exchanged views on matters of interest to their respective Cadet Corps.

Subsequently, Directorate of Training screened a documentary on the Army to the Cadets.
