SAARC Cadets Call on Commander

A five-member SAARC delegation, representing 79 youth cadets from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan this afternoon made a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Army Headquarters.

Those five heads of the delegation during the courtesy meeting with the Commander of the Army exchanged views on matters of youth empowerment and cadet training modules in respective SAARC countries.

19 senior male and female Officers and cadets and 60 male and female cadets representing Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan are currently in Sri Lanka to participate in the Hermann Loos Championship Camp in Rantambe at the NCC Headquarters.

All five heads of the delegation exchanged mementos with the Commander as gestures of goodwill.
