S & T Educates All Ranks on Quality & Varieties of Fish

Directorate of Supply and Transport (Dte of S & T), introducing a new approach for identification of fish varieties, supplied to the Army for consumption of soldiers by contractors with a view to ensuring the receipt of those kinds in required standards, recently held a new workshop for Officers and Other Rankers of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) at Panagoda.

Dr Geevika J Ganegamaarachchi, Principal Scientist, Head, Institute of Post-Harvest Technology and Mr R.A Mahendra Jayathilake of Marine Biological Resources Research and Development Agency at the invitation of Colonel Irosha Wanigasekara, overlooking Director, Dte of S&T delivered those lectures.

Again, on the instructions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, the Dte of S&T extended the lecture series to all ranks in the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) and the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) during the fourth week of January, this year.

On Monday (21), a total of 62 Officers and 138 Other Rankers serving the SFHQ-West listened to those two lecturers on the same subject at Panagoda under the guidelines given by Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Commander, SF-West. Similarly, both those lecturers went to the SFHQ-Cen and delivered the lectures on the same lines on Tuesday (22). A total of 56 Officers and 83 Other Rankers learnt about the subject matter during this workshop on awareness.

Dte of S & T plans to get the cooperation of all Officers and Other Rankers to learn more about this programme since it deals with procurement of fish for meals. Buy Sneakers | jordan Release Dates
