Russian Army Chief Calls at Air Force Headquarters

The Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces, General of the Army, Oleg Salyukov of the Russian Federation paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias at the Air Force Headquarters Colombo on Wednesday (5) morning. He was accorded a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour after he was warmly received by the Commander of the Air Force on arrival.

They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance during the meeting that ensued. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion. Before his exit, the Russian Army Chief penned a few thoughts in the Visitors’ Book at the Commander’s office.
