NORTH, EAST & COLOMBO : ARMY troops during their search and clear operations on Wednesday (11) recovered one claymore mine, two mobile phones, four 81mm mortar bombs, four 60mm mortar bombs, six Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), five hand grenades, one Arul bomb, fourteen anti personnel (AP) mines, eight trip flares from the general areas of IRUPPALAI, VISUAMADU, AKKARAYANKULAM, SUGANDIPURAM and MULLAITTIVU.
Meanwhile, troops found two hundred and ninety three dry cells and five hundred and sixty seven pen torch batteries from the general area of MUDAGALA SOUTH in BATTICALOA.

The same day, 500 g of gelignite and nine detonators were found from WATTALA area.
