To provide drinking water for troops in the 652 Brigade Headquarters and civilians in Thunukkai area, following sponsorship, extended by the 'Pure Tech Pvt Ltd' a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was installed at the premises in liaison with the 'Manusath Derana' programme. It was vested in troops and civilians on Tuesday (26) during a simple ceremony.
The need for an RO plant remained a long-felt requirement in the 652 Brigade since it would help prevent Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) for troops and civilians in this area due to drinking water.
The new RO plant has a capacity to provide 5000 liters per day and the Commander Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi Major General G.V Ravipriya commissioned the plant during the brief ceremony on the day.
Further, arrangements have also been facilitated at the location to provide drinking water facility to nearby villagers as well as troops of the 20 (Volunteer) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment serving nearby areas.
General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and other Senior Officers, representatives of 'Manusath Derana' team and 'Pure Tech Pvt Ltd' were also present during its inauguration.bridge media | Women's Nike Superrep
