A new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, erected by troops of the Directorate of Engineer Services for purification of drinking water for troops in the 143 Brigade HQ in Thabbowewa was formally inaugurated during a simple ceremony, attended by Brigadier Sajith Liyanage, 143 Brigade Commander on Sunday (2).
This treatment plant was constructed after troops found water provided to the camp is not up to hygienic standards on an initiative taken by the 143 Brigade Commander and its troops.
Senior Army Officers and Other Ranks took part in the event adhering to health guidelines.
