Reverse Osmosis Plant Installed at Kudimbimalei Kumaran Vidyalaya to Purify Drinking Water

Under the direction of Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Commander Security Forces (East), and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 12 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), troops from the 12 SLNG successfully installed a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant at the BT/KK Kudimbimalei Kumaran Vidyalaya. The plant is intended to improve access to safe drinking water for the school and surrounding community.

The inauguration ceremony was held on 03 November 2024 and Major General W.P Kariyawasam, General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division, graced he event as the Chief Guest. Financial support for the installation, amounting to one million rupees, was provided by Miss. Thilini Ramanayaka in memory of her late father, Mr. Sarath Ramanayaka, on his 10th death commemoration.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, dignitaries of the area and villagers participated in the event.
