Appreciative of his three-decade of service to the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) as Band Master in the Sri Lanka Artillery Band, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery and Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on Friday (12) hosted Warrant Officer 1 D.E.K Ravindra to refreshments and applauded his committed service to the Sri Lanka Artillery awarding him a special memento.
His dedicated and exemplary service to the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery as Band Master won reputation to the Sri Lanka Artillery several times and groomed a number of young musicians to the regiment. He also worked tirelessly to promote the image of thee band by introducing new musical instruments to the group.
