Retiring Senior Officer Calls on Commander of the Army

A Senior Officer of the Army, Major General D.A.R Ranawaka of the Sri Lanka Artillery on the eve of his retirement upon completion of more than three decades of unblemished and dedicated service received an appreciative memento from the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva this afternoon (29) when he called on the Commander of the Army as a courtesy.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva during his meeting with the retiring Senior Officer gratefully and warmly acknowledged the exemplary contribution he has made towards the growth of the organization and shared a few unforgettable recollections during his career.

Extending best wishes for his future prospects, the Commander wished him good luck in his retirement and awarded a special memento as a symbol of appreciation and commendation.
