Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) in a customary ceremony bade farewell to one of its dedicated Senior Officers, Major General Kapila Bandara Udalupola on Friday (22) who is retiring from the Army upon completion of more than 34 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army.
A Guard Turnout and a ceremonial parade, presented to Major General Kapila Bandara Udalupola at the SLSR Headquarters greeted him in accordance with military traditions. He also saluted the memory of fallen SLSR War Heroes at the monument followed by refreshments at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess.
The evening session hosted the outgoing Senior Officer by all SLSR Officers at the Officers' Mess to dinner. Major General Kapila Bandara Udalupola thanked all Officers and Other Ranks for their support during his military career.
