Regimental HQ of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) at Ambepussa on Friday (15) during a simple ceremony bade farewell to the outgoing Major General Manoj Mudannayake, Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Director General Infantry of Sri Lanka Army.
Brigadier Ajith Pallawela, SLSR RHQ Centre Commandant welcomed him with several officers before the retiring Major General Mudannayake was invited to lay a floral wreath at the SLSR War Heroes’ monument.
The day’s event also included an all rank tea arrangement at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess before the retiring SLSR veteran shared a few thoughts with the troops and recalled his yesteryear memories.
The day’s itinerary culminated with a special lunch treat hosted on behalf of Major General Mudannayake & Mrs Priyamali Mudannayake, Chairperson, SLSR Seva Vanitha Unit. SLSR Senior Officers, Officers and their spouses joined the treat, held at the Regimental Officers’ Mess.Mysneakers | Footwear
