Retiring Major General Chandrasekera Honoured in His Regimental HQ

Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) Regiment during a special ceremony on Wednesday (9) bid farewell to one of its committed senior Officers, Major General Prasanna Chandrasekera upon his retirement after having counted an illustrious service of more than 34 years in the Sri Lanka Army.

The ceremony, held in keeping with military traditions at the SLSC Regimental Headquarters premises in Panagoda was attended by a large group of Senior Officers and Other Ranks.

The programme of events commenced with the ceremonial Guard Turnout, followed by wreath-laying at the SLSC Regimental War Heroes' Monument. A Guard of Honour with the participation of SLSC troops, followed inviting him to review the parade and receive the salute from the special dais and address the troops at the auditorium.

The event also included an All Rank tea arrangement at the Other Ranks' Mess at the Regimental Headquarters.

The day's proceedings culminated with a ‘Dinner Night’ hosted by the Colonel Commandant and Officers of the Corps of Signals at the Regimental Officers’ Mess, the same evening (9). url clone | New Balance 991 Footwear
