Heads of several International and local Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), working in Kilinochchi District on Thursday (8) had a frank exchange of views with the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi, Major General Nandana Udawatta over progress of the ongoing de-mining work and proposed establishment of their offices in different areas.
Those representatives from Save the Children, ZOA, Child Fund, ACTED and Handicap International NGOs, founded under the Presidential Task Force for Resettlement and Development in Northern Province during those deliberations, discussed a wide range of other practical concerns.
One more round of the friendly meeting will take place shortly in order to assess progress made in relation to different assigned roles and tasks.
