The 1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) celebrated its 67th anniversary in a series of religious observances and military formalities at the SLSR Regimental Center Ambepussa on 07 October under the guidance of Major T.K.E Madawala USP psc Lsc, Commanding Officer, 1 SLSR.
Prior to the customary Guard of Honour on 7 October, troops of 1 SLSR conducted a series of religious observances to invoke blessings on 1 SLSR troops of the 1 SLSR.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the events.
1 Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was raised on 01 October 1956 as the country’s first Rifle Battalion.
