Relief Packs, Donated to The Army Distributed in Modera Area

'Melwa' Group of Companies in close coordination with the Sri Lanka Army in a gesture of cooperation to the Army handed over a stock of 1000 packs of essential food items for distribution among civilians in quarantine in Colombo 15 Modera area, Pansalwatte, Moderawella, Modera Welle Watte, Hansa Avenue and Mosque Road on Wednesday (25).

Appreciative of the Army Chief, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva's efforts in containing the transmission as Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), the donor, Colonel (Retd) Mahinda Rathne Tennakoon, Director Melwa Group of Companies handed over the stock to Brigadier Nilantha Fernando, Commander 142 Brigade for distribution. Today's distribution took place under the close supervision of Major General Ranjan Lamahewa, General Officer Commanding 14 Division.

The ration pack, each worth about Rs 1800 contained rice 5 kg, Onions, Potatoes, Dhal, Gram, Flour, Noodles, Soya, Tinned Fish, Sugar, Sprats, Spices and a few other essentials.

Major E.M.M.S.K Ekanayake, Commanding Officer 14 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and troops of the 14 VIR together with members of Modera Police station and Grama Niladari in the area distributed those ration packs among the inmates.Nike air jordan Sneakers | Women's Nike Superrep
