The Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-Wanni) organized a two-day workshop for Regimental Sergeant Majors and Warrant Officers in all under command Divisions, Brigades and Battalion during 5 - 6 July at the SFHQ-Wanni premises.
During the workshop participants were educated on leadership qualities, commanding ability, responsibilities of Warrant Officers, management skills, funeral formalities, discipline, dress regulations, etc.
Lectures were conducted by the Regimental Sergeant Major at the Army Headquarters, Warrant Officer I W.P.D.R Weerasinghe former Academy Sergeant Major of Sri Lanka Military Academy - Diyathalawa, Warrant Officer I K.R.A Senavirathne (Rtd), former Regimental Sergeant Majors of Army Headquarters Warrant Officer I G.G.M.S Jayaweera (Rtd), Warrant Officer I L.H.T.D Sarath Kumara and WO I W.M.S.P Wijesinghe.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division, Major General H.G.P.M Kariyawasam RSP ndc psc IG presented plaques and certificates to all Warrant Officers and lecturers who attended the workshop.
The workshop was organized under the direction of Major General C.D Ranasinghe RWP RSP. More than 90 participants joined the sessions.
Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Administration and Quartering, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Security Force Headquarters - Wanni participated in the closing ceremony.
