The finals of the Inter Battalion Cricket Tournament - 2024 took place on 21 August 2024, at the 56 Infantry Division grounds in Kokeliya, Vavuniya. The event, organized by troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), featured five teams: Regimental Centre SLAWC, 1 SLAWC, 7 SLAWC, 2(V) SLAWC, and 3(V) SLAWC.
In the grand finale, the team from Regimental Centre SLAWC faced off against the 2 SLAWC amidst enthusiastic cheers. The Regimental Centre SLAWC team emerged victorious, claiming the championship title. Lieutenant O.S.N Jayawardane from the Regimental Centre SLAWC was named Woman of the Match.
Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division and Colonel Commandant of SLAWC graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented the championship trophy and merit awards. The event was witnessed by Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks.
