Recruit Course 107 Completes Training at SLLI Training School

The Recruit Training Course - No 107 (RTC) at Sri Lanka Light Infantry Training School, Boosa ended on Saturday (Jan 21) amidst a colourful passing out parade (POP), held in front of Major General Deepal Pussella, Commander, Security Forces - West as the Chief Guest and a large crowd of spectators.

The 291 recruits of the Course 107 commenced their training on 20 July 2022 and went on till 21 January 2023. Trainees underwent various training sessions during the course and finally exhibited their talents and skills amidst roars of applause. A large crowd including Senior Officers of Tri-Forces, Officers, Other Ranks, parents and relations witnessed the POP.

The chief guest specially commended the following students and awarded trophies for their extraordinary talents shown during the course.

First in Order of Merits - Recruit P.M.D.C Kumara - Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment

Best Soldier of Physical Fitness - Recruit A.A.A.C.D Jayasinghe - Sri Lanka Light Infantry

Best Shooter - Recruit G.D.S.N Thilakarathna - Sri Lanka Light Infantry
