Rajagamam Sri Narada School in Jaffna Gifted with School Needs by Dhammadeepa Foundation


Rajagamam Sri Narada School in the Karaweddi Divisional Secretariat and Puthur Panchaseela School in Jaffna where Tamil students are learning Buddhism and other religions, were given a facelift and a large stock of furniture during two separate ceremonies with the coordination of 521 Brigade and 52 Division Headquarters.

Ven Trincomalee Ananda Anunayaka Thero, Chief Incumbent, Bambalapitiya Sri Vajiraramaya, together with seven other Buddhist monks, Rev. Fr. Vincent of Puttur Panchaseela School, Mr Siva Sri, Karaveddi Divisional Secretary, 521 Brigade Commander, Unit Commanders and over 80 members of the Dhammadeepa Foundation at Maharagama took part in the ceremonies, held on April 29. 

19 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops with the funds made available by the same Dharmadeepa Foundation renovated all the buildings and prepared a playground for the Sri Narada School before inaugurating them during the same ceremonies.

The donation worth about Rs: 850,000.00 included a photocopy machine, computer accessories, musical instruments, school desks and cupboards. This Narada School was founded in 1966 by late Ven. Narada Nayake Thero of Bambalapitiya Sri Vajiraramaya and conducts classes from grade 1 to grade 11.
