The Second Court Martial probing into charges against General Sarath Fonseka’s alleged violation of military procurement procedures commenced its sittings at 2.00 p.m. on Wednesday (July 28) as scheduled.
The third witness, currently under remand custody, related to the case on HICOPE transactions was called up to give evidence. Prosecution will continue examination in chief when the tribune meets again on 7th August 2010 at 8.30 a.m. (Ends)
