Private G.L.P.K.P Madushanka of 3 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) in an exemplary act recently returned a cash sum of Rs. 14,000.00 which he unexpectedly found on the cash deposit machine at Kotuwegoda Bank of Ceylon.
He found this sum on the Cash Deposit Machine on Friday (24) while trying to deposit some money for his family. After a few minutes, he informed the Adjutant of the 3 (V) GW camp and the Adjutant in turn informed the bank authorities about the finding.
Later, he was invited to the bank where he handed over the sum of Rs 14,000 to the authorities. The bank officials highly commended the soldier for his exemplary act.
