Primary School Students, Recipients of Army Support

Thanks to the support given to the Army by the staff and the Director of the B M I S Institution, needy children learning at the Primary School in Karuwala Kandhal in Oddusuddan received essential school accessories and books during a brief ceremony on 15 December at the school compound. The sponsorship for the donation was made available by Director MNIS and Staff in response to a request of the 64 Division and the 641 Brigade HQ.

The Brigade Commander of the 641 Brigade, Brigadier Janak Jayawardena and his troops in the 641 Brigade arranged the distribution where a couple of Senior Officers, including the Civil Affairs Officer of the 641 Brigade and the Commanding Officer of the 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated.

The aforesaid primary school is situated within the area of responsibility of the 641 Brigade.
