President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch, (SVAB) Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya declared open an Art Exhibition of paintings drawn by 377 children of War Heroes at Punchi Theater, Borella Saturday (29). Paintings on show were selected at a competition, held among War Hero Children of all Regiments last year to mark the World Children’s Day at Panagoda on 23rd October.
Both the competition and the exhibition, held under three age categories were organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) with the initiative of its President Mrs Malraji Wanniarachchi.
First, second and third place winners of each age group received their prizes and certificates from the Chief Guest, Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya.
President SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Malraji Wanniarachchi, members of the SLAGSC Seva Vanitha Unit, senior members of SVAB along with a large number of officers and participants were present at the occasion.
