Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) troops organized a Poson zone at the SFHQ premises on account of Poson Poya under the theme ‘Poson Udawai, Daham Amawai’. A large gathering of Poson sight-seers and devotees in Wanni witnessed the colourful spectacle in the Poson zone.
In the meantime, sight-seers got a great opportunity to see colourful and spectacular Poson lanterns made by Wanni troops. Moreover, sight-seers received free meals from the Dansela (free eatery) on account of Poson commemoration.
Display of ‘Wessanthara Jathakaya’ and Bhakthi Gee was staged to make Tamil civilians familiar with Buddhist rituals and traditions.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W attended the occasion, together with General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Officers and school principals to witness Poson celebrations.
